Farewell to Pinwheels on Parade Simply Scrappin' Kit

Today I am bidding a fond farewell to the Pinwheels on Parade Simply Scrappin' Kit.

I used the 2 sheets of Midnight Muse Card Stock (included with kit) for my base layer.  I cut strips from the Designer Series Printed Papers (also included in the kit) for side panels and title bars.  I used a sheet of 81/2" x 11" Baja Blue Card Stock (from my stash instead of cutting up the 12"x12" sheet that the kit comes with) for one large photo/journal mat and for 6 square ones for running down the sides.  I cut 3 more larger panels out of an 81/2"x11" sheet of Riding Hood Red Card Stock (also from my stash. You get two 12x12 sheets of Riding Hood Red in the kit as well) and added strips from the kit's Card Stock Sticker Sheets to edges of two of them.  I cut a square from a sheet of the designer paper and formed that into a pinwheel for an embellishment.  For my Title, I chose the Happy BDay Builder Wheel and inked that up in Midnight Muse Classic Ink.  I rolled it onto a strip of Whisper white and adhered it to the top of my page.  On the opposite side, I chose 2 flag-ended stickers and one Designer Label Sticker.   I can use the pale area of the Designer Label Sticker to write a date or a birth year!

I am very disappointed with how "dull" this photo is.  This page is super bright and oh-so-cheerful in real life.  I think the software I am using for my watermark might be having a negative effect on the output quality of my photos.  It might be time to find an alternative.

In the meantime, I hope you will give the Pinwheels on Parade Simply Scrappin' Kit a try!
