Card: Botanical Birthday

Hello!
Today I would like to share a card I recently created with the Botanical Blooms Bundle and the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set ( a Hostess Exclusive*).

I'm not usually drawn to using purples... but I like to force myself out of my comfort zone from time to time.

For my card, I used Elegant Eggplant (sponged with Blackberry Bliss) and Daffodil Delight for my flowers with Old Olive for my leaves (sponged with Mossy Meadow.  The flower centers are punched circles, from the Owl Builder Punch, that I then covered with my Wink of Stella brush.

My card base is Wisteria Wonder with Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder layers.

My Happy Birthday is stamped in Elegant Eggplant on Whisper White and cut out with an Oval Framelits Die.

I am really enjoying my new Elegant Dots Embossing Folder!  I don't know why it took me so long to buy it!

I hope you have enjoyed my card!

Team Stamp It Easter Hippity Hop

Hello!

Welcome to the Team Stamp It Easter Blog Hop!

I have two projects to share with you today.

First, I CASE'd myself and made an Easter version of the flower basket card I shared with you the other day, here.

Crazy About You is such a wonderful stamp set!  There is a greeting for any occasion and the Flower Medallion Punch and Scallop Circle Punch are must have's for the flowers!

I swapped out the Crumb Cake card base for Melon Mambo, Embossed my Whisper White card stock with my Elegant Dots Embossing Folder ( instead of stamping the polka dot background ) and added an additional layer in Daffodil Delight.  I kept my flower colors the same, chose the taller version of my basket, but, this time, I gave my flowers more dimension by stamping them 3 times and cutting out layers.  There are 3 layers to each flower.  I also added a Rhinestone jewel to center of each flower.  As in my previous cards, I added touches of Wink of Stella to the petals of each flower and to my leaves.

My coordinating Easter Basket, created with the Berry Basket Bigz Die
has it's own flower and an additional patterned tag punched from some coordinating Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper  with the Note Tag Punch.

I hope you have enjoyed my Easter Projects!

Card: Best Birthday

Hello!

Today's card is the result of
"When Good Stamping Goes Bad!".

I set out to CASE an easel card...
and practice my watercoloring.
I'm actually impressed with how my watercoloring came out.

I stamped my flower from the Best Thoughts Hostess set* on Shimmery White card stock with Archival Black Ink.  I also went out of my comfort zone and watercolored with my neglected Tangelo Twist and my Aqua Painter!  The 2014-2016 in-colors have been some of my most favorite colors - Has it really been 2 years already?! - except for poor Tangelo Twist.  I think it really shines on this card though.  I may just have to use it more... before it retires in May.  My leaves were colored with Mossy Meadow - another retiring in-color.

So, if the coloring went so well, where does the "good stamping gone bad" come in?
Well, it's what happened when I glued my beautiful flower panel onto the front of my easel card - which was already assembled ( note to self, don't pre-assemble! ) only to discover that I put it on sideways :(   Now I had a Z-Fold card... which is fine, just not what I intended.

I pushed it off the corner of my work table and went to work on another project.
One of those, "I'll deal with you later" things.
I slept on it and, woke up with a solution.
I'd turn it into a gift card holder!

And there you have it!
A card I just may make again - this time on purpose ;)

Card: Spring Bouquet

Hello!

Today's card was part of my recent Celebrate Spring card class.

It has been a very rainy winter here in coastal SC
and I'm ready for sunshine, green grass, and flowers!

If Mother Nature isn't quite ready to give me flowers, at least I can create them in my craft room :)

I wanted the flowers to take center stage so I stamped my Whisper White base panel with the Dots for Days background stamp in Crumb Cake and adhered it to a Crumb Cake card base.

My flowers were stamped in Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Daffodil Delight.  Crazy About You is one of my favorite go-to stamp sets!  Where else can you get so many different greetings!  Not to mention the flowers with coordinating punches!  Win-Win!

My flowers and leaves received a Wink of Stella to give them some sparkle!

My flower pot is Corrugated Paper ( I Love this stuff!!!) cut with the Fry Box Bigz Die!  The little short pot is from cutting along the score lines of the front panel of the box, the taller pot is from cutting just the side score lines but leaving the base score line in tact.  How cut is this?!  I got the idea of using the Fry Die from my Upline, Tami White.  I discovered that you could have a taller pot when I was trying her idea!  Bonus!

My little tag is cut with one of the tag framelits from the Tags and Labels Framelits collection.  I must admit, I did not think I would use this collection as much as I have!  Don't over look this one!

I hope you have enjoyed my spring projects!

Video and First Projects with the February 2016 Paper Pumpkin - Hello Sunshine

Hello!

My February Paper Pumpkin kit has arrived and I love it!

The first project I whipped up is this Project Life scrapbook layout.  I can easily spread these elements out over two pages if my photos require it.

I also created a card.

I didn't follow the directions, as usual!  Hey, it's me, right?!

I just pulled out all of the elements and let my creativity take me where it would.  I'm pretty happy with it :)

I'm very excited about this month's kit!  I can't wait to play with it some more!

So lets see what we received this month...
Here is the Reveal Video from Stampin' UP!:

Happy Stamping!
