Card: Elegant Rose Garden

Hello!

I have two cards to share with you today!

The first one (with the Basic Black card base) is a CASE from Pinterest (Pinterest is addicting, isn't it?!).

As you know, I just LOVE Black and White/Vanilla Cards.  I chose Very Vanilla for these cards as I wanted a more subdued contrast.

For the card with the Basic Black card base, you use your Rose Garden Thinlit Die to cut the Basic Black top layer.  You will pop out all of the "petal pieces", leaving just the outline.  For the Vanilla Card, use the "outline" as a template and glue the "petal pieces" down onto a Very Vanilla layer, removing the outline/template after.

Brushing on some Wink of Stella (Clear) to the blooms adds that dramatic touch of elegance!

Apply it directly to the Basic Black petals on the V.V. card and onto/into the Vanilla petals on the Basic Black card.

I love both of these cards!
They are both unique - and, you don't waste a single bit of your card stock :)

I hope you have enjoyed my cards!

  1. I fell in love with these cards the moment I saw them, and had to make them immediately. I did them reversing the Black and VV. I colored in the VV outline rose on black with red Wink of Stella, and green WoS for the leaves. It doesn't show up as a bright color on the black, but gives just a subtle hint of color and glitz to the rose and leaves. Did the outline cutout with clear Wink of Stella. Don't you just love it!!!?? Thank you so much for sharing your idea.
I knew with I saw this rose thinlit I would make good use of it.
