Thoughts Of Sympathy For A Friend Card

Good Afternoon!
I have a couple of shares for you today.
First, my Newsletter is going out tonight... have you subscribed?
Not only do you get a Free Card Tutorial - just for subscribing - you will receive additional Tutorials with my Newsletters as well!  Tonight's is a Super Simple Sunday card. Simple doesn't equal drab and boring though so you don't want to miss it.  If you haven't subscribed, just click on the Subscription link in the left-hand column (here on my blog) and your Free Tutorial will be in your email within minutes ;)

Now, on to my Sympathy card.  These are my least favorite to make but, I need to reach out to a friend who is in my thoughts.  I remember how much it meant to me when I received cards from friends when I lost my Mom.  We hit the 9 month anniversary the other day... I still have moments when I just collapse, sobbing, and just can't believe she is really gone.  I hope it helps my friend to know she is cared about and in my thoughts.

Sometimes it can be hard to get started when a card means so much...
I found help in some current Challenges.  I had forgotten how much inspiration I could find in them.

The first was a Color Challenge over at The Paper Players. At first, my thoughts went to Christmas but I forced myself to think in other directions, which led me to my Sympathy Card.

My layout came from Freshly Made Sketches #439
It was perfect for my needs.
Thank You for stopping by and, if you would like to give my card a spin for yourself, or use it for inspiration of your own, Download This for your files.

  1. I try to have a few sympathy cards on hand because they are so hard to create when needed. This is lovely - I especially like the woodgrain texture. Thanks for playing along with us at FMS!
