Card: Thoughtful Branches Neutral Leaves Dressed Up

Hello!
Yesterday, I posted a neutral card featuring the single leaf stamp from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set.

While the supplies were out on my table, I made another version of my card, swapping out my bolder leaf image for the softer sprig image.  



I stamped two sprigs, joining them together at the end of their stems.  I repeated this all over my very vanilla panel.

When I was finished, one of my panels looked way to cluttered.  This was a bit of a long stamping process and I didn't care to flip it over and start again ( I had re-inked my Sahara Sand after the first card design and now the stamping was too dark so I stamped off before stamping all of my Sahara Sand sprigs.  There are a lot of sprigs on each one of these panels!).  So, I got to thinking about how I could make it look a bit less busy!  I ended up grabbing my roll of Sahara Sand Lace Trim ( retired ). It added the perfect touch!  

If you don't own this ribbon, give the Tip Top Taupe Mini Striped Ribbon a try or the Very Vanilla Lace Trim would be gorgeous!  I don't own either one of those so I had to make due with what I had on hand.  Even a couple of winds around with Very Vanilla Thick Bakers Twine with a bow or a simple knot would work!

Everything else remained the same with these cards.  I repeated the sentiment "you are just the Nicest" from Picture Perfect and stamped "Thank You", from Thoughtful Branches on the inside.  I stamped 2 opposite corners with my leaf sprigs.

Card: Thoughtful Branches Neutral Leaves

Hello

Today I am sharing another pair of cards from my stamping weekend!

I found myself blog hopping and stumbled across a card that had me leaping up to gather my supplies so I could re-create it.  


Does that ever happen to you?  I just never know when inspiration is going to hit me that hard!

In the end, I didn't have the stamp sets used in the original, but the design stuck with me.  I started going through the sets I *do* have, searching for something that would work.  That set was sitting on my table all along :)
My new Thoughtful Branches fit the bill perfectly!


I thought I remembered the original card using Sahara Sand and Tip Top Taupe so that is what I have used on my card.  I love how it came out!  It's not *exactly* like the card I stumbled on that day, but it's close enough.  I used Picture Perfect for "you are just the Nicest" and Acorny Thank You for "dropping in to say Hi". 

The "Thank You" on the inside is from Thoughtful Branches.  I just love the font that was used in creating this set!

Card: Sugarplum Hydrangea

Hello!

This past weekend, I think I spent more time playing with my stamps than I have in a good long time!

We actually spent the weekend at the house - for the first time since arriving in Massachusetts!
Every weekend had been spent playing Agility with the girls!
It was so odd to have a weekend with no Agility!

I have been stamping up a storm and now have a large stack of cards to share.  I'm also full of ideas for tutorials, how-to videos, and classes to go!

Today's card was CASE'd from the fabulous Dena Rekow!  I changed hers up a bit.  Just swapped out a couple of things.  Nothing too drastic.
