Happy Monday!

Happy Monday everyone!
We had a fantastic weekend camping with family.  I got to witness two of my Grand Daughters learning to ride their bikes without training wheels!  I have never been so amazed!   Saturday they were learning to "start up" and keep balanced and "turn".  By Sunday morning, they were flying along the roads of the campground, making turns, applying brakes, and maneuvering off-road terrain!   I am awed by how fast they are growing up.  They need to slow down, just a little.

Birthday Card for Mom
I made this card for my Mom for her Birthday.  I thought the pretty butterflies would brighten her day.  I made it to coordinate with a box I had made but didn't end up needing.  I used the retired Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper to punch my butterflies with the new Elegant Butterfly Punch.  They are layered on Melon Mambo cardstock punched with the same punch.  I enhanced them with some rhinestones I had in my stash.  This card finally provided me the opportunity to use some of my Scallop Dots Ribbon in Melon Mambo.  A very quick and easy, yet pretty, card for my Mommy.

Matchbox Die Potpourri Box

Good Morning!  Happy July 31st!  I have no idea where the summer is going but it sure is going fast!
Midge and I had a fantastic weekend of Agility!  It was the best ever actually.  We qualified in 11 out of 12 runs and earned 9 First Place and 2 Second Place scores!   We had 2 perfect days!  Friday we qualified in all 3 of our runs and Saturday we qualified in all 5!  That is a first for us!  I am so proud of how much progress we are making!  I will put up some pictures and videos once I have everything edited.

Today, I want to share a project I started on Friday, took with me to the competition - thinking I'd have time to work on it, funny - and finished yesterday.  It is gorgeous in person!  I finally acquired the retired Matchbox Die!  I have wanted this forever but never bought it... then it was gone!   I was lucky enough to find someone who was selling theirs!  Now, it's mine :)

I used the Creative Elements stamp set and the Papillon Potpourri stamp set with it's coordinating Elegant Butterfly Punch.  I simply "must have" every stamp and punch combination there is :)

I see so many possibilities with this project idea!!!!  Love it!

It is just so beautiful!  I already have loads of ideas swimming in my head for Christmas boxes for the Grandkids!!!
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a fantastic day!

Where did the time go???

I don't know where the time went!  It's been a month since my last post.  I've been working, traveling, stamping but not posting!  We are off for a weekend of Agility with Midge.  Looks like we might not have very good weather for an outdoor trial but, we will make the best of it.  When I get back, I will post my latest creations and, hopefully, some super fun of videos of Midge and I running!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Agility Weekend

We just returned from a three day weekend of CPE Agility in Deerfield,NH.  It was over 90 degrees on Friday and pretty warm on Saturday and Sunday as well with lots of bright sunshine!  Midge was her usual crazy self.  Would not wait at the start line so I was racing all weekend to catch up and be able to handle her around the course.  It really makes my blood boil when she won't wait for me to get a lead-out!  We will be working on our Start Line and I will need to accept the fact that, if she breaks, I have to pull her off the course.  It can end up costing me the run anyway, may as well teach her something for the entry fee instead of simply throwing it away!  Here is our very last run of the weekend.  Run #13.  I didn't bother even trying to lead-out.  I'm lucky she stayed put long enough for me to be able to stand next to her and take a deep breath before we took off!  It was nice to end on a high note - with a nice 1st Place Qualifying score - on a tough Level 5 Jumpers course  - with both of us grinning ear to ear!

I have had these image panels sitting on my table for months!  I know I made them for something specific but I just can't remember what!  Oh well.  I found inspiration in the sketch I used for The Paper Players challenge - these panels were perfect for that sketch!  I think I prefer the one with the Peach Parfait Card Stock and Ribbon - which do you like better?

Clean and Simple in Red,White and Blue

Better late than never I guess.  I discovered a new challenge blog cas-ual fridays and decided to give their Polka Dot challenge a go.  I was already too late to play with Pals Paper Art's Red,White and Blue challenge Here but I wanted to challenge myself to use those colors anyway.  I went outside of the 4th of July box and went Floral.  I wanted to play with my "new to me" Dot,Dot,Dot stamp from Stampin' Up I thought it would pair perfectly with my Blossom Punch.  What do you think?  The funny part is that I didn't read the date of the Polka Dot Challenge and I missed the deadline :)  Oh well, I got a nice card out of it anyway!

Supplies Used (all SU except ribbon):
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Dot Dot Dot
CS: Whisper White, Garden Green
Ink: Real Red, Night of Navy
Misc: Red Satin Ribbon, Polka Dot EF, Blossom Punch, Bird Punch
