Green Marble Rain

So... Today's card did not start out to be anything like it turned out!
I was sitting down with my morning coffee,
doing what I always do:
"Surfing the Web".

One click led to another, as it always does...
and I came across someone talking about
"The Marble Technique"
The results were really cool so this became one of my
"drop everything and do this now!" moments!

Here I am, sitting in my pajamas,
and I don't have any marbles!
I go through every inch of my craft space
I don't even have any "round things" I can use!
Now, I could go get dressed and run over
to the dollar store around the corner...
they have lots of "round things"
and they probably even have marbles!
However, that breaks the momentum
of "drop everything and do this now!".
So... I think outside the box!
I take 12 adhesive backed pearls
and stick them together!
I now have 6 "round things"!
- well, kind of round.  Some are a little "off" :)

How's that for "thinking outside the box"?!

Well, as things often do, one thing led to another
the card I had envisioned in my head, well,
I just couldn't get it to come together :(
So, this card was born!
It is completely outside my comfort zone!
...It's growing on me :)

We actually made this card yesterday
at my Club Appreciation Event!

Peaceful Pine Christmas

Today I am back with the Fabulous
Ornamental Pine stamp set.

The original creator of this card
is Beth Rush.  I loved her card
and it was a "drop everything and whip one up"
kind of card.

Beth had "popped up" her top two layers...
well, I got ahead of myself and put snail adhesive
on all of my layers :(
Oh well, I still love the card!
And, now it is a super easy to mail, Flat card!

I am not exactly sure what color combination
Beth used on her card. I chose to use
Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip for my pine branch,
Baked Brown Sugar for my Pine Cone,
and Elegant Eggplant for my greeting and sentiment.

I chose to stamp "Merry Christmas" on the inside of my card
 with greetings from Endless Wishes.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card!

Sahara Stars with Joy

Yesterday I posted this card.
While I was creating it, I had an inspiration
and this is the result.

I stamped my black star on Very Vanilla
instead of the Whisper White.
It changed the look quite a bit.
You probably can't tell the difference here
but, I like the softer look that the V.V. gives the card.

This was my first time using the word framelits.
I learned the hard way... use a layer of wax paper
between your die and card stock!
I knew I should, I didn't...
I now have a broken "Joy" in my trash :(

Sahara Stars CASE

Today's card is my version of one I found on Pinterest
by fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Lynn Kolcun.

I didn't copy her card exactly... I added my own touches
but it very closely resembles her card.

I hope you enjoy my version!
