Coming Soon! ScrapBooking Classes for the Busy Scrapper!

I am very excited to announce my New Classes:

ScrapBooking for the Busy Scrapper!

If you are anything like me, you have boxes and folders and totes of developed photos waiting to be put into albums but the number of them has you completely stumped as to where to start so you just leave them as they are and say... someday...

Well, I have developed a solution to attacking the problem!

I am developing page layouts that fit any occasion and all sizes and styles of albums!  I am finding it is much easier to sit down and design a page and then select the photos for that page.  I used to do it the other way around, select my photos and then design the page.  But this is so much easier!  I now have completed pages to put in my albums that date back 8 years!

I am excited to be able to share this with you!

At my new ScrapBook Classes for the Busy Scrapper, we will create an entire page that is ready for your photos.  Each page will hold at least 4 photos and can easily be re-created if you need/want a two page spread.

We will create 2 entirely different pages at each class.  You will take home 2 complete pages - and be able to go home and put your photos on right away!

The class fee is $10 and I will provide everything you need - you only need to bring your choice of adhesive for assembling the pages.    My classes are based on a 12x12 page however, if you use 6x6 or 8x8 pages, no problem!  Just let me know and I will adapt the pages for you ahead of time.

My first class is March 4th.  Complete details can be found on my website here.
You can rsvp for class there as well.
I am offering a day and evening session.

I hope you can join me!

Not local but interested in a Class Kit?
Send me an email or give me a call, I can provide that for you!

Happy Scrappin'

Prior to today, if you signed up for emailed Blog updates from me, you weren't getting them :(
I believe I have fixed the problem!
I am so disappointed that my past posts have not been getting out but,
I am very happy I discovered there was a problem and was able to fix it!

I have some very exciting new opportunities coming your way so I am thrilled I fixed this issue
before I started my announcements!  I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on the news :)

Rainy Monday Gotcha Down?

We are having a rainy Monday here in the South and well, it just is not that inspiring!
I have been "playing" in my room ... doing a little stamping,
doing a lot of brainstorming for my upcoming classes,
and doing some supply orders for the class ideas I've come up with.
I must admit however, that I do much better with the sunlight -
I just do not handle gloomy days very well.

With that in mind, here's a little Creative Inspiration for You!

I whipped up a bunch of these little 3"x6" cards with the idea of giving them out to my kiddos
for Valentine's day.  But that has since changed so I guess I am all set for Next Year :)

My card base is Crumb Cake, then a layer of Melon Mambo and then a layer of Whisper White.

The Hearts (which simply DID NOT photograph well and are much brighter and prettier)
are: Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie
punched with the Full Heart Punch.
They were zipped through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder
to give them that wonderful texture.
They were then layered on a Crumb Cake heart from the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die.   See how nicely the Full Heart punched shape layers on that Scalloped Heart?!
Gorgeous!

The Tickets are actually covering a boo-boo (but don't tell anyone! that's our little secret).
See, I tried to stamp my Happy Valentine's Day directly onto the Whisper White and made a boo boo.  It wasn't perfectly straight and I couldn't live with it.
I thought a couple of tickets would cover it up nicely and I must admit,
I actually love the result so much that I made a few more like that - on purpose!

The tickets are from the New stamp set That's the Ticket ( Wood  or Clear) from the Spring Catalog!
What a fabulous set this is!  I Love It!
It has a coordinating Ticket Duo Builder Punch
that makes these cute little tickets in a jiffy!
I stamped Admit One in Crumb Cake and Valentine's Day in Melon Mambo - both on Whisper White.  The tickets are attached to the front of my card with Dimensionals.  So Cute!

I hope my little card has inspired you today!
Personally, I think I need some caffeine!

Tea for Two Love Notes

Hi !  I'm back with some more of these CUTE little 3"x3" note cards!
I could get addicted to making these... actually, too late!  I *am* addicted to making these!

Since I already had my pack of Tea for Two Designer Series Paper out on the table,
I kept going and made up another set of quick little cards!
With Valentines Day coming up next week, I went with a *Love* theme.

Again, the base of my little cards is a piece of Very Vanilla card stock
cut 3"x6" and scored at 3" on the 6" side.
I sponged all of my edges and added a row of Music Notes
(with my Music Notes wheel) with Crumb Cake ink.

I cut my 1 1/4" strips of Tea for Two Designer Papers,
flagged the ends with the 1 1/4" square punch, sponged the edges in crumb cake
and  adhered them to the front of my card using Snail Adhesive.

Remember my "Thank U" from my last post?
The Pennant Parade stamp set also has a cute little "Love" stamp in it.
Using my Stampamajig, I was able to line up my little "Love"
over the stamped "U" from "Thank U"!
I just inked up only the "U" with my Early Espresso Marker
stamped it, lined up the "Love" with the Stampamajig,
and now I have "Love U"!  How cool is that?!
And, it still fits in the Small Oval Punch!!!!

After I punched out my "Love U"'s,
I sponged the edges
and attached them to the front of my little cards using Dimensionals!

The final step was the big 'ole hearts just bursting with Love.

The large heart was cut with coordinating card stock
(I used Night of Navy, Marina Mist, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink)
which was cut and embossed (at the same time!  Sweet!)
using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die
I attached the large hearts to the card fronts using Dimensionals as well.
I love this heart!!!  It is so pretty!

The smaller hearts on top are stamped with images from the New
Hearts a Flutter stamp set in the Spring Catalog!

I inked them up with the coordinating Inks
(Night of Navy, Marina Mist, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink)
and stamped them on Very Vanilla cardstock.
I used the coordinating Hearts a Flutter Framelit Dies to cut them out!

I don't know about you, but, I absolutely cannot pass up
any stamp set/framelit bundle that Stampin' Up puts out!
(this goes for coordinating stamps/punches too)
I love how perfectly they go together and the results are always stunning!

Once I had all of my hearts cut out,
I popped them onto the larger heart, with a Dimensional,
and added a little bit of "bling" to each one!

That was it!
My little note cards were done and looking beautiful!

Tea for Two Elegant Butterfly Thank Yous

Hello Friends!

I have a couple of quick little notecards to show you this morning.
I love making these little 3" x 3" notecards to have on hand.
They are so cute, and so much fun to make, but make a very big impact!

I keep seeing the cutest cards with flags and banners, and these fun Doilies,
so my cards went together in a jiffy combing all of these different elements!

These little cards were made starting with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock
cut 3" x 6"
and scored at 3" on the long side.
All of my edges, front/back/insides, were then sponged with Crumb Cake ink
to give them an aged appearance.

I cut a Paper Doily from the Tea Lace Paper Doilies pack (Spring Catalog)
into 1/4's,
Sponged the edges with Crumb Cake Ink to age them,
and adhered them to the front of my card.

I cut  1 1/4" strips of Designer Papers from the
Tea for Two Designer Series Paper Pack
from the Spring Catalog.
I cut my strips into 3" lengths.
With the Designer Papers being 12" squares, I can cut enough small strips to cover 3 cards!
I flagged the ends of my 3" strips with my 1 1/4" square maker!
All of my flagged pieces were then sponged with Crumb Cake ink as well.
These were adhered to the front of my card lining up with the edges of my Doily wedges.

I stamped the "Thank You" image from the Pennant Parade stamp set
in Early Espresso Ink, on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock,
and punched it out with the Small Oval punch.
The edges of this piece were sponged with Crumb Cake also.
I adhered this to the left edge of my flagged piece with a Dimensional.

The last focal point of my card is the coordinating Butterfly.
Using my Elegant Butterfly Punch
I punched out Butterflies in coordinating card stock colors.
Here you see Calypso Coral and Pink Pirouette.
The Butterflies are added with a Dimensionals and their wings curled up just a little.

To finish it all off,
I added a row of Basic Pearls to the body of my butterflies
and one large pearl
tucked up inside the notched end of my flagged piece.

The whole card was then spritzed -
with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Champagne Shimmer Paint -
with my Stampin' Spritzer to give it sparkle.

Floral Fusion Poetry

Let me first start by saying - I LOVE THIS CARD!

So much so that I made two versions.

Today I was inspired by a card by another Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Mary Fish,
whose card I received in my email in-box.
She used the new Secret Garden Bundle
from the new Spring Catalog, for the main images on her card.
Unfortunately, my Bundle has not arrived yet so I had to improvise.
Nothing wrong with that , right?
It's good to have to think on your own two feet every now and then!
I did use her card template and color layout.

The main card is Midnight Muse.
The Designer Papers are all from the new little pack Print Poetry from the Spring Catalog.
I must admit that, at first glance, I wasn't sure I was happy with the prints in this little pack.
But, boy, was I ever wrong!
This is now the third card I have made with paper from this pack
and I have loved every one of them!
I just needed to take them out and look at each one
by itself, in bits and pieces, and with it's coordinating card stocks!

I decided to go with flowers cut with the Floral Fusion Sizzix Die
I used Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit card stock for my flowers.

I love these cute little flowers.
I have not used them very much but I can see making a lot more projects with them in the future!

The Gumball Green leaves coordinate with the Gumball Green card stock frame
and the Gumball Green that appears in the floral pattern from Print Poetry.

My Butterfly was punched from a coordinating stripe pattern - also from Print Poetry
using my Elegant Butterfly Punch.  A row of Basic Pearls finishes it off with style.

The card ties together with a length of Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon.
This ribbon is so soft and supple to use!  I just love it!

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and that I have inspired you to get stampin' !
