It's Throw Back Thursday
over at the Simply Stamp It Facebook Group.
As the creator of this challenge,
I give each challenge a "theme", sketch,
or other launching point to help with inspiration.
or other launching point to help with inspiration.
This week, I suggested Travel/Vacation.
And, I knew exactly what I wanted to make
for my own submission for the challenge.
And then, I did something totally and completely different!
I need to be on the road in 2 hours
and the project I have in mind is simply too time consuming.
and the project I have in mind is simply too time consuming.
So, I went off in a totally different direction.
My card is that direction :)
Well, I DO see farm stands in my travels ;)
Back when I first saw the Farmers Market DSP
in the new Annual Catalog,
I immediately thought of my (retired) Homegrown stamp set.
And, I even packed it for my summer travels.
I laid out my stamps on my block
and stamped them on Whisper White with Stazon black.
Then, I came in and watercolored them
in the colors I thought best resembled the images.
Rose Red for my Beets,
Cherry Cobbler for my Tomatoes,
Always Artichoke for my Artichokes ( no brainer, lol)
and Sahara Sand for what I decided was Garlic
but could be Onions too :)
I hope you enjoy my card
and will come over to our Facebook group
to share a project with us!
