Nuts About You For The Stamp It September Hop

Hello!

Welcome to the Team Stamp It
September Hop!
If you are arriving from Elizabeth's Blog

Welcome!

Today I have a couple of projects for you!
I am featuring the new Acorny Thank You stamp set
and the coordinating Acorn Builder Punch!
I just Love 'Em!

First up, I have
a Traditional 12x12
Scrapbook Layout!
  • Choose coordinating papers.  I chose 2 patterns from the Bohemian Designer Series Paper to ensure a great match.
  • Select 2-3 solid colors from your patterns and one neutral.
  • Large font stamps are perfectly framed when punched out as tags.
  • Help your Burlap Ribbon stay put!  I used a paper piercing tool to poke through all of my layers so the tines of my brad go all the way through.
  • Add texture and natural elements that compliment each other.  Burlap threads on the R.H. page compliment the ribbon on the L.H. page.  Embossing some of my leaves with the Woodgrain embossing folder adds texture that fits in with the theme.

Not a Scrapbooker?
How about a card?

I combined the same principle elements from my scrapbook layout in my card.

I created a larger tag for my card, using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, but used the same color scheme and the same natural elements of the Burlap Ribbon and woodgrain texture from the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects!

Next up is Charlene Luks
I'm sure she has an amazing project to share!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Stamping!

Garden In Bloom: CASE of Fall Florals

Hello!

Today's card is an adapted CASE of a CASE card by Andrea Walford on Pinterest.

I liked her version of the card but I don't have all of the stamp sets she used.

I had a chance to improvise and bring my own style into my project.  I also changed the colors.
I wanted more of a Fall look.

  • Think beyond what you see!  Just because you don't have a particular image, doesn't mean you can't make the card!  What *do* you have that you can swap-in?
  • Mix It Up.  Change the colors to match your mood, your style, the message you are trying to convey.
  • Say it your way.  I did not have the greeting she used for her card either.  I could create the message I wanted by inking up the "good friend" portion of "to a good friend" from the Happy Birthday, Everyone stamp set, to deliver my message.
  • When an Oops happens, it's OK.  As I assembled my card, I realized that I forgot to cut my cardstock to allow for the stripe at the bottom.  Oops.  Oh well.  It still looks great and I still love it.  It's just a little bit more "mine" now :)

Happy Scenes Halloween Window

Hello!

Today I have a super cute
Halloween project for you!

I paired the Happy Scenes Bundle and the Bite Me Photopolymer stamp set.
I love the silhouette of the black cat looking out the window with his spider buddy!

  • I sponged Daffodil Delight ink inside my window to give a golden glow - as if from a light shining inside.  It really sets off the cat and the spider.
  • Create an "outside looking in" effect when you pair the Happy Scenes Bundle with the Hardwood stamp.
  • Bundle and Save 15% when you purchase Happy Scenes stamp set with the coordinating Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies #140853
  • Note: Bite Me Photopolymer Stamp Set is not in any Catalog.  See it Online Only following the link below.
If you have any questions
regarding today's project,
I'm happy to help!
Happy Stamping!
